Important information for HSA Assessments:

Special HS schedules for Tuesday, May 23

HSA assessments will be given in Government and Biology on Monday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 23. Any student who needs to take the HSA in either subject should do so as directed by the school on the day of their specific assessment. Except for Old Mill and South River high schools, which are closed for graduations, all students will report to school on time on Monday, May 22.

On Tuesday, May 23, any student not taking an HSA assessment will report to school 3 hours and 15 minutes later than normal.  Buses will make two runs, with the second occurring 3 hours and 15 minutes after the first. Exceptions include students at magnet schools, at Chesapeake Science Point, and at the Phoenix Academy. All students at Chesapeake Science Point and the Phoenix Academy – and students at magnet schools who live outside that school’s regular attendance area – will report to school at their normal times. The May 23 delayed opening applies only to high school students NOT taking an HSA assessment and that day.

All students should report to school on time on Monday, May 22.

Additionally, there will be no classes at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South, and only afternoon extended day sessions at Studio 39 on Tuesday, May 23.
