Hey Gophers! Are you interested in learning how to play volleyball? Then come join us for an interest meeting, Tuesday December 19th at 2:18 in Coach Arevalo’s room M214. Boys and girls are welcome to come learn about our free volleyball clinics.

Attention Seniors:  Cap and gown make-ups will take place today during all lunches.

From Sr. Class President, Jeremiah Thomas: 

Attention GBHS Student Body:  There’s still time to get your Class of 2018 “Holiday Grams” which are being sold during all lunches.

 From Ms. Angelo: 

Attention NHS members there will be a meeting on 12/21 in room M121 at 2:30 All members must attend or let Ms. Angelo know they are not coming by 12/20.

Please bring any candy donation to Ms. Angelo by the end of the week.

Please bring in any calendar order forms as soon as possible.

From Ms. Brown:  

GBHS is getting into the Holiday Spirit this year with our first winter Spirit Week! December 18th through the 22nd show your School and Holiday spirit…

Monday – Ice Out Day (dress in white or something with snow on it​) 

Tuesday – Holiday Character Day (Dress like a character from a holiday or winter themed tv show, movie or book)

Wednesday – Santa Hat/ Fuzzy Socks Day

Thursday – Ugly Sweater day

Friday – Red, White and Green Day. 

So ​Get into the spirit GBHS!


The Cool Schools challenge is right around the corner.  If you are interested in participating please see Mrs. Brown in M226 or pick up a registration packet in the cafeteria during lunches.

From Mr. Landers-Nolan: 

Did you watch Beauty and The Beast​, and think ‘Wow, I can do everything they’re doing except sing and dance?” Then come and find out about GBHS Theatre Company’s Spring play, Almost Maine, on Monday December 19th from 2:30-4 in room O-206. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, December 20th from 2:30-4:30. Email Mr. Lando at with any questions, or stop by on Monday to pick up the required audition form prior to auditioning.

From Ms. Brown:  

SGA would like to thank all classes and teachers that participated in the Pennies for Patients fundraiser.  The winners are as follows:  Third place there was a tie donating $95.75: Mrs. W-B and Ms. Kelso’s 1A classes.  Second place: donating $102.04 Ms Bacarisas’ 1A class.  And the winner, donating $209.40 and receiving the chic-fil-a breakfast tomorrow ….Mrs. Hilditch’s 1A class.

Congratulations to all who gave and thank you for donating to a good cause in the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma.
