ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS, Anne Arundel Community College

is coming to Glen Burnie High School on April 13th for Personal Registration Day

Seniors can sit with an AACC advisor to register for their freshman year

and Juniors can register for JUMP START.  Don’t Wait.  Sign up on Naviance or in Guidance now.

You must have completed an AACC application and taken the Accuplacer in order to meet with an advisor.  See your Counselor if you have questions.

Exciting News, Seniors! For the month of April, the School Counseling Department is holding a contest specifically for seniors submitting college scholarship applications.

Each time you submit a scholarship you can add your name to our scholarship tree in the counseling suite and your name will be put in a raffle. This means the more scholarships you apply to, the more chances you have to win!

Good Morning Gopher Nation,

This week and the week after break, we are going to play a game called the “Kindness Necklace Pass.” The object of the game is to have one of the necklaces by the end of the day. There are 12 multicolored leis floating around campus. In order to get this necklace you have to give the person wearing the necklace a compliment and the person has to give the necklace to you. If you had the necklace once, you cannot have it again. The 12 people with the necklace at the end of the day will pick up your reward at the end of the day in the media! NO CHEATING!!!

Hey gopher nation, are you ready for Spring break?  Well get ready for Spring Spirit week too. Let’s show our Gopher pride and end March in GB style.

On MONDAY, MARCH 26th, it will be Neon Day – dress in your brightest neon colors to bring in spring.

TUESDAY, MARCH 27th will be SuperHero Day – dress as your favorite superhero or shero!

And WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28th, show that gopher spirit by wearing Gopher gear or college gear from the college you plan on attending or the college you like.​

The Show Place Arena is large enough to accommodate all seniors in a single ceremony, to provide each senior with six guest tickets, and to provide the guests air-conditioned comfort. The Senior Newsletter supplement is to give you information about approved senior activities, arrangements for Commencement, and other important facts for seniors. Please keep this supplement as a reference.

Graduating seniors who violate Board Policy JCC are subject to the provisions as stated in Administrative Regulation JCC-RAC: Alcoholic Beverages, Controlled Dangerous Substances, or Other Intoxicants. This regulation states in relevant part under Section D., Procedure, Paragraph 6:

 Penalty for Violation by Graduating Students

  1. Graduating students who violate Board policies on possession, consumption, or distribution of alcoholic beverages, controlled dangerous substances, counterfeit controlled dangerous substances, noncontrolled substances as defined by Article 27, Section 286B of the Annotated Code of Maryland, or other intoxicant at any time during the last four weeks of school prior to the last scheduled day for graduating students, or during the time between the last scheduled day and the graduation ceremony, whether the activity takes place on school buses, within a school building or upon any school property, or during any school, school related, or Board sponsored activity, whether held on school property or at locations off school property, including private clubs, businesses, or commercial establishments, shall be prohibited from participation in all [...]
